IECEx CoPC Units 003 & 006 | Installation and Testing
of Ex Equipment in Hazardous Area
Why Units 003 & 006 Matters
IECEx CoPC Units 003 and 006 matter because they ensure electrical installations in hazardous areas are both correctly installed and thoroughly tested. Together, they help prevent faults that could lead to ignition, ensure compliance with international standards, and confirm that systems are safe, reliable, and fit for operation in explosive atmospheres.
Course Overview
Course Overview
This unit of competence covers the installation and testing of explosion-protected equipment and associated wiring systems in explosive atmospheres.
It includes the ability to select and match equipment suitable for a given hazardous location, carry out installation in accordance with relevant standards, and perform testing using appropriate instruments to verify compliance.
Candidates are required to work safely, follow established procedures, interpret test results, and complete all necessary installation and testing documentation.
